Photo Hunt 163: Plastic
The first thing I thought of for today’s photo hunt, plastic, was my sugar bowl.
Here for your appraisal is my circa 1976 harvest gold Tupperware sugar bowl. Oh, I’ve tried other sugar bowls over the years but I always go back to my sweet, versatile little goldie. The top stays snapped into place but has the options of spooning out sugar on one side and pouring out sugar on the other. I just don’t believe it can be improved upon. It’s served me well for 33 years.

A lot of the old tupperware cannot be improved upon. Only one hint.. never, never put it in storage for a long time or in a place where the temperature is warm… not hot enough to melt but hotter than room temperature. I did when I moved and most of it became very, very sticky… I had to get rid of quite a few pieces.
Mine is up here.

Another tupperware fan! I wish we had a sugar bowl like that. Nothing we try ever seems to work. Great choice for the theme!

Soak those old stickie pieces in soda water or wash with a wet cloth and soda. Wet newspaper and store in closed tupperware to get an odor out.

Tupperware use to make condoms but when you burped the top, it would pinch the foreskin resulting in millions of dollars in a class action suit which was settled requiring that no one mentioned it ever……which is why you may not have heard about that.
