Nolasphere Linky-dinks
Michael of NoLA Rising was featured recently on The Andre Trevign show on 99.5 FM talking about the project. Podcast here.(Scroll down to 1/30/08, 11 to noon) He’s also been interviewed by MTV:
“Afterwards, ReX and NoLA Rising photographer Max Prophet, accompanied with my dynamic duo team from SPELL & SPELL, met with and did a video interview with an M-TV Street Team about our grassroots arts movement designed to get people involved in the community while beautifying the neighborhoods that people live in. The segment should be coming out on Think M TV within the next couple of weeks. I’ll repost that information as it occurs.”
YAY FOR NOLA RISING!!!!
Ray in New Orleans’ better half was featured on Nola.com’s Flattrack Fever as Rollergirl of the Week. She’s one tough cookie–don’t mess with Miss Ruffit.
Go, Ruffit, Go!!
Yatpundit issues a challenge to the presidential candidates in his post Who Will Take Ownership of New Orleans? It’s a great post and earned a place on my “Bloggers Speak Out” page. Keep up the good work, bra.
Gentilly Girl and Oyster were mentioned in The Democratic Daily on Blogroll Amnesty Day–Celebrating the Spirit of Linking.
Of course, this doesn’t surprise me a bit. Both bloggers are class acts. Good on ya, kiddo’s!
O Happy Day! Polimom has resumed her biting yet thoughtful political ruminations. She’s spent several months working her photography skills – of which she is brilliant, IMHO – but now she’s back to politics also. I don’t know if it’s temporary or not but I’m soooo glad to have her back.
And, finally, I just want to point out this post by Minor Wisdom about the Manning Men. Yeah, buddy! Who can pass up a post with a title like that?

Ohmigod. Your blogroll. Eet ees, how you say, magnifique! But seriously. Probably due to the extreme yoof of my blog, La Casa de Los Gatos, I have yet to find a good source for all things NOLA. No, I’ve never been, but I’ve always felt a passionate connection with that city, and long planned to go there. Katrina took away my opportunity. I’m SO glad I found you.
And now for a little disgusting behaviour (comes natcheral to me, some say): Won’t you PLEEZ put me on your blogroll? I wanna eat wif da big kids.
Come by and check us out. Our other hangout is at CultureVultures.

Thanks, Cat. Every blog on my blogroll are sites I personally read and would recommend to my friends/family. Nolaphoria is the best of the best in New Orleans, IMO. I’ll read yours and see if they’re a good fit for me. I don’t mean to be unfriendly or conceited – it’s just my policy. And I’m flattered that you asked.
