Denis Leary has announced today that Frigidaire is partnering with The Denis Leary Foundation to help complete restoration of New Orleans firehouses. The NOFD lost 22 out of 33 firehouses to the floodwaters of the levee breach after Hurricane Katrina. Some have been restored and the donation from Frigidaire will help complete 11 remaining firehouses by 2008.
“The kitchen is the heart of the firehouse — a gathering place for crews to decompress and refuel in between fire calls,” said District Chief of the New Orleans Fire Department Timothy McConnell. “With two-alarm blazes up by 300 percent since the hurricane, this space is even more vital than before, which is why we are so thankful that Frigidaire stepped in to help.”

wow – awesome news – C and I luff “Rescue Me”
I think he a very cool guy and he really seems to be doing great stuff for firemen everywhere. Go Denis, go! I am all for anyone who understands what it means to give back, especially when they owe their fortunes to the public.
Angelina has always done that, which makes me respect her, even before the NOLA deal! Her personal life is not nearly as interesting as all of the good things she has done as a philanthropist.
