Waiting for the a/c
Today at lunch when I read this post at Dangerblond, I thought “I feel your pain”!
My office lost a/c last Thursday afternoon. Friday wasn’t too bad….maintenance brought in portable a/c units which really only help if you stand in the line of out-blowing air. Most of the windows cannot be opened because they have locked grates and since the building is so old, either the keys are lost or they just won’t budge. Monday was bearable but today…..today was hell. It was so beautiful outside but so hot and stuffy inside. A hot work environment makes for alot of grumpy women. My temper is matching my temp. I must admit the three (yes 3!) men in the office didn’t complain…or I didn’t hear them anyway. We have been allowed to “dress down” due to the temp, which means we can skip the hose and close-toed shoes and we can wear sleeveless. So today I wore a skirt with no hose, open shoes and sleeveless top. Let me say, cotton is a wonderful thing. I didn’t have it on today. I had on whatever….rayon maybe. All I know is I was hot on top and the sweat was trickling, if ya know what I mean ladies. Tomorrow it will most certainly be cotton on top. And strappier shoes. And no hose again and if my white legs blind ya just don’t look.
Speaking of legs….the one good thing? M’s gorgeous manly toned legs in shorts. 
I have to go outside to warm up!
